The PlayStation has been around since the late 90’s so you might have missed and felt nostalgia when you think about the game you played on the PlayStation years ago. However, the majority of the older games require older game consoles, so unless you collect older consoles, you might not be able to play these older games.

With this being said, developers and publishers have found an easier and preferable method to allow us to play these older games with modern consoles. This is through remasters and remakes which are like repackaged games.

The term remastered means that the quality is enhanced rather than modified. So, a remastered video game means that the quality of an older video game won’t be as pixelated and low-quality on a high-resolution gaming laptop or console.

We selected 8 of the most popular remastered games on the PlayStation 4 in no particular order.

Resident Evil HD Remaster

Resident Evil is one of the most well-known games around the world. It is a survival horror video game that Capcom Production Studio 4 created and published. It follows the story of unusual murders that have been plaguing the quiet midwestern town of Raccoon City.

With all of the murders going on in the city, the police finally enlist the help of the S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) teams to look further into the situation.

The Alpha team soon discovers that scientists have been working on dangerous virus experiments which as the T-Virus. The T-virus eventually got loose in the air. It was kept hidden until a leak on Monday, May 11th, 1998, when the T-Virus polluted the estate, infecting everyone and turning them into zombies, causing a zombie apocalypse.
