The world of eSports grows on a daily basis because more and more games have loyal followings. The best players in the world can make a lot of money from playing, so it shouldn’t be surprising that being an eSports player becomes a lucrative career.

When talking about some of the leading computer games and their professional scene, we need to mention that some of the leading gambling platforms influence a lot of them. If we take a look at things, such as the Roobet Cup, we will see that CS2 is one such game because there are different events organized and sponsored by some of the biggest names in the iGaming business.

While on the topic of CS2 and the different tournaments, no one can deny the fact that gambling sites have a very important role in it. If we analyze some of the biggest tournaments, we can see that many of the leading bookies are behind them in one way or another. Besides sponsoring the biggest teams in the given game, they also add a lot to some events by helping with the prize pool.

In the case of CS2, skin betting is also prevalent, and a lot of gambling companies have special sections where people can go and bet on those kinds of things.
Even though CS2 is probably the best example of an eSport that is influenced by gambling, it is not the only one. There are several other games that also fall into this section, so let’s learn more about them.

Dota 2

The world’s biggest computer game, when it comes down to eSports, has a lot to offer to fans and players. Despite Valve’s decision to remove the DPC, the game remains an attractive option for loads of different tournament organizers. That’s why it is no surprise that many gambling websites also have a role in it.

If you take a look at some of the biggest names in Dota 2, you will see that they have at least one sponsor from the gambling niche. Some teams, such as OG, promote those brands all the time, which is a clear sign that gambling operators are key partners for all online betting operators.

In terms of the Dota 2 events, a lot of the big ones use gambling sponsorship, but not all of them announce it. People with more experience in the industry know that most tournament organizers rely on those things because the betting companies are the ones that allow them to offer large prize pools.

League of Legends

Dota 2 has a lot of fans and a huge eSports scene, but the same applies to another game – League of Legends. Whether you’re playing the game or you are only watching your favorite streamer, you probably know that this title has a really big eSports scene that includes loads of tournaments. Sure, not all of them have gambling sponsorships, but many rely on those types of sites for many things.

What’s interesting about League of Legends is that most tournaments with gambling sponsorships are usually from the Tier 2 scene. What this means is that they don’t always attract the biggest names in the professional scene.

Considering that eSports betting is becoming more popular, we expect to see tons of top-tier gambling companies inside the biggest League of Legends event. This eSport is slightly different from the rest because it never had a big skin secondary market, so it is not as “developed” as CS2 or Dota 2. Having said that, things will most likely change.

Fortnite

Despite the fact that Fortnite is not as big as it was a few years ago, the game continues to attract games from all over the world. As one of the most played video games of all time, it is no surprise that Fortnite has a serious fan base and a lot of professional players. This explains why there are many different eSports tournaments and why gambling sites sponsor some of them.

While it is true that the people behind Fortnite are a lot more restrictive than the likes of Valve when it comes to gambling sponsorship, there are a lot of events that are directly or indirectly related to iGaming.

Call of Duty

The battle between Counter-Strike 2 and Call of Duty is something that we love watching because both types of games offer us something special. Even though CS2 is definitely the bigger eSport and the game with more gambling affiliate partnerships than the rest, CoD is catching up.

Since this title is not as big as CS2, it needs to find a way to appeal to more players and fans. One of the things that it can do is to offer users larger and more impressive prize pools, as well as other rewards.

One of the ways of achieving those things is by working with gambling sites because the latter can offer them a lot of money. So, we expect to see different types of CoD events sponsored by some of the big names in online betting.
